I felt that, after 5-6 hours or so, I'd seen pretty much everything the game had to offer. The oxygen limits also added urgency and excitement for me, as someone else mentioned, but I enjoy challenging games, so your mileage may vary of course.Īnother person touched on this, but I think my main issue with the game was how repetitive and grindy it became. If anything, I felt it was pretty easy to cheese enemies through stealth: I often ran with the zapper and the poison dart/spike gun, and I could solve a lot of enemy encounters by sticking them with darts, running away, and locking any doors behind me so I could wait for them to die.

I only ever felt the need to get the enemy map if I was dealing with really tough ones like Screws or Zecs (the ones with shields), and even then I didn't feel it was that expensive. I didn't have much of an issue with the stealth though. When I died, it was usually because I got greedy and tried pushing through a ship despite being at low health.

I've definitely been screwed over by the RNG before (in the same way too, with a rocket turret that spawned right at the entrance of a ship), but those scenarios tended to be rare for me. I'm a little more mixed on the issues though. I think I largely agree with you on what I loved about the game: the comic-book art style and color palette (which was what initially drew me to the game), the British humor, the variety of weapons/tools, etc. I played this game recently as well and finished my very first run after about 20 hours on normal difficulty.
